As many of our travel plans are curtailed this year (2020), we're taking a virtual tour of Canadian dioceses via their diocesan newspapers, equivalent to our Diocesan Post. Our itinerary follows the Anglican Church of Canada's cycle of prayer (available here).
We start with this week's Diocese of Edmonton, which covers not just the city of Edmonton but the breadth of Alberta, from Jasper to Cold Lake - see their Find-a-Church map here. The diocese was established in 1913; while the first Cathedral of All Saints building predated the diocese, the present Cathedral building is the third, and dates from 1956.

2021 update: In the week of 25 July 2021, we pray for the Very Rev. Alex Meek, Diocesan Administrator, the Rev. Stephen London, Bishop-elect, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Edmonton.
This week marks a year of Canada Connection posts, and a full cycle through all the dioceses of the Anglican Church of Canada!

The diocesan paper, shared with the Diocese of Athabasca, is the monthly Messenger; see also the Synod Scene newsletter for weekly updates from around the diocese.
