Canada Connection - Huron

In the week of 25 April 2021 we pray for The Rt. Rev. Todd Townshend, Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Huron.
The Diocese of Huron was founded in 1857 and occupies the Ontario Peninsula, surrounded on three sides by water: Lakes Huron, St Clair, Erie and Ontario. It is comprised of about 50,000 members in 177 congregations. [source]
The Diocese of Huron is situated on the ancestral beaver hunting grounds of the Algonquin, Haudenosaunee and Attawandaran peoples; the traditional and unceded lands of the Anishinaabe Peoples, of Walpole Island, Kettle Point and the Thames, the settled people’s Haudenosaunee Confederacy, at the Grand River and the Thames and the Lenni Lenape Delaware people’s of Moraviantown and Muncey.
The diocesan cathedral of St Paul, built in 1845, is in London, Ontario.
