In the week of 30 August 2020 in the Anglican Church of Canada's cycle of prayer, we pray for the clergy and people of the Diocese of Saskatoon, and their Bishop Chris Harper.
About the Bishop, the first Indigenous person to hold this role, from the Sasakatoon Star Phoenix
"The Diocese of Saskatoon is a diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land of the Anglican Church of Canada. Its territory is a band across the middle of the province of Saskatchewan. It was separated from the Anglican Diocese of Saskatchewan in 1933." (from Wikipedia.) It consists of 21 parishes organized under three deaneries. Some are multi-point charges, and several are shared Anglican/Lutheran ministries."
The diocese is situated in the traditional territories of the Treaty 6 First Nations.
Here is a list of the parishes across the diocese. Click on the links to be whisked away to Lashburn or Lintlaw via Google Street View!
