Today, March 10, provincial health officials announced the further easing of pandemic restrictions (effective tomorrow, March 11), with further easing expected April 8.
The diocesan COVID-19 task force will meet on 11 March, in consultation with the bishop, to develop further guidance for us as a community of faith in response to the changes made by public health. We will release updates to our own guidelines early next week. Until then, out of an abundance of caution, and until we have time to review the changes being made by public health, and to consider the risks associated with activities such as singing indoors and the administration of communion, our current restrictions remain in place, including the wearing of masks and proof of vaccination.
To be reviewed and updated by the diocesan COVID-19 task force March 15, 2022. Download a PDF copy of this update below.
Recognizing the uniqueness of space/facilities and comfort level of each parish and its members, the following changes are offered to support our shared commitment to the safety and well-being of all who come together in worship and in the use of our facilities. Each parish/community will need to consider its own readiness and capacity to address the lifting of restrictions.
