Resolving freedom

"Our faith is to connect to the subtle nuances of our real-world experiences. Thus, the way we live, or shall we say the way we live with God, should not be based on wishes we make about fanciful futures.

"So how do we go about living in a way that progressively moves us toward the gradual loosening of the weights we carry? How do we make sure our lives are directed toward the activity and occurrences which are consistent with the Lord’s will for us? A professor of mine once gave a unique answer. “Our life with God”, he said, 'is like our life with money; before we think about what we would like to happen, we need to know where our efforts are being spent.'”
