11 March: The issue was raised at our recent Parish Council meeting of seeking practical and immediate ways to help Ukrainian refugees, in eastern Europe and in Canada.

Here are a few of the many opportunities available:

PWRDF (Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, Anglican Church of Canada) supporting ACT Alliance https://pwrdf.org/pwrdf-supports-ukrainians-forced-to-flee/

The Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society of Vancouver Island has a site dedicated to handling offers of help: https://ukrainehelpvi.ca/

Donations can also be made to Caritas Ukraine through Victoria’s Ukrainian Catholic Parish of St Nicholas the Wonderworker, who also invite our prayers for Ukraine in the Akathist to the Passion of Christ.

The Gordon Head Refugee Support Constituent Group, of which St Dunstan's is a member, has a longstanding commitment to support Syrian families coming to Canada through the Canadian government system.
